Si Chuan Cuisine @ Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant, Parkroyal KL

As usual, another sunday night dinner with my family. This time, my parents told us that we'll be having dinner at Parkroyal Hotel with a long time family friend. It has been quite awhile since we've last sat together and dine in for a dinner.

This Si Chuan restaurant has been in Parkroyal Hotel for 2 years, serving authentic Si Chuan style food. As far as I know, the hotel management actually hired a 5 star chef from Si Chuan to share the cookings with the restaurant's chefs and kitchen staff. Every quarter of the year, new ideas for the dishes are promoted on their menu. Here, you will also notice the waitress dressed in Si Chuan clothings. Good atmosphere with fine food, though the price is on the high side. A place to recommend.

For those who are interested, the restaurant is currently on a promotion till Mid March (do reconfirm with the restaurant though). The promotion is serving free flow of food ordering which includes a total 60 variety of dishes ranging from Cold dishes/Appertizers, Shark's Fin and Soups, Meat & Poultry, Seafood & Beef, Vegetables to Desserts. Steamed Sliced Cod Fish with Soy Sauce and Bean Sprout
Very fresh cod fish was served...

Fresh Scallop with Minced Garlic and Red Chilli
The scallops are lightly fried till golden brown coated with sweet and spicy sauce. This was served in one of the dishes in the buffet menu.

Bean Curd in Spicy Sauce (Vegan)

For those who love real spicy hot food will definitely fall in love with it. I believe you'll sweat after taking spoons of it.. Also, it can be ordered from the buffet menu (Bean Curd in Spicy Minced Chicken Sauce)..

Deep Fried Golden Butter Chicken Strips

The chicken strips are very crispy as they tasted more like the mantis prawn than chicken..A must try dish!

Stir Fried French Beans with Preserved Olives (Vegan)

You may opt for Stir Fried French Beans with Minced Chicken for non-vege dish

Chilled Aloe Vera with Sea Coconut

This dessert will soothe your throat after all the spicy food..Recommended! Try out their Homemade Beancurd with Wolfberried too! Delicious! Both desserts are also in the Buffet Menu..

Overall, the food is highly recommended for those who search for fine Si Chuan dishes. The total bill came up to RM580 with AMEX card 20% off. UOB cardholders will be able to get 30% off for food and beverage ordered. It is also very worthwhile for the price you pay for the buffet at RM58++ per adult. The promotion is open for lunch 12-2pm and 6-9.15pm. Last order at 9.15pm.
